Payment: The full amount of the reservation, incl. taxes, will be charged to the credit card provided, without prior notification, within 7 days of arrival, latest upon check in, as pre-payment. We accept Visa and MasterCard only. No debit cards. This payment is non-refundable.
Cancellations made 8 days or more before the arrival date are free of charge. You must cancel the same way you made your reservation.
Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival: Any pre-payments will not be refunded and applied as cancellation fee. If no payment was charged to the credit card, the cancellation fee, equal to the full amount of the reservation, including taxes, will be charged to the credit provided, without prior notification. Date changes are not permitted within 7 days of arrival.

- The Front Desk has limited hours of operation due to Covid-19 and may only be open during check in times. Please plan accordingly.
Summer Check-in is 3pm - 6pm. For late arrivals after 6pm please email info@sunpeakslodge.com min. 1 day before arrival, to receive late self check -in instructions. Check out is at 10am. We apologize, no late check outs are available.
Winter Check-in is as of 3pm. Check out is at 10am. We apologize, no late check outs are available. - A picture ID and a matching credit card (not a debit card) has to be provided by the main guest of the room upon check in.
- The hotel will charge a $100.00 damage deposit pre-authorization to the card, which will be released latest 2 days after departure, if no room damage has occurred and/or excessive cleaning was needed, incl. dishes in the kitchenette or noise complaints received. Please refer to the "Quiet time" section below.
- Upon check in, all other charges have to be paid, i.e.parking and the total invoice will be signed, to ensure a contact-less check out. Should any phone charges have been made, they will be charged without notification to the credit card on file. You will receive a welcome package with all the important hotel information, Please be sure to read it.
- Check in location for all reservations is the Front Desk of Sun Peaks Lodge, 3180 Creekside Way.
- Your room might be located in our main building at 3180 Creekside Way or in our adjacent building, 3185 Creekside Way. Studios with kitchenette are located in the adjacent building. Our Front Desk agents will advise you upon check in.
- Housekeeping may not be provided during your stay due to the ongoing labour shortage. There will be no compensation or refund of any kind if no Housekeeping is provided.
- Fans are provided, we do not have AC. Our windows open to let in the cool mountain air over night.
- The wellness area with hot tub, sauna and steam room is open 2pm to 10pm. Subject to change without notice. No refunds or any other compensation will be offered should the wellness area be closed for any reason.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Parking: Underground: $20.00/night (elevator access, subject to availability, available for cars, suv and minivans). Outside on site: $15.00 (subject to availability). Prices are per night/car/plus GST and subject to change without notice. - Equipment storage Skis, snowboard and bikes can be stored in our guest equipment storage room, limited space available, first come - first serve. Locking the equipment is mandatory. Free ski locks are provided at the Front Desk. We do not take any responsibility for the equipment storage. Sun Peaks Lodge does not allow skis, snowboard or bikes in the guest rooms. Boots are ok.

- Smoking Policy The Sun Peaks Lodge is a non smoking hotel. Smoking, vaping etc. in the guest rooms, on balconies or in public areas will result in a $100 smoking penalty.
- Maximum occupancy. The hotel reserves the right to limit the occupancy for each room or studio. Only the number of guests confirmed is guaranteed as occupancy. The room rate is based on the number of guests booked. Children (15 years or younger) are staying free of charge when using the existing bedding. Additional guests (16 years and older) are subject to a surcharge of $20 per night, per guest, plus taxes. Please make sure you have the correct number of guests booked. If not, additional guests will be registered at time of check in and charges will apply.
- Quiet time in the hotel is between 10pm and 7am. We would like to offer all our guests a quiet night sleep. Therefore, we have a no tolerance policy for parties in the rooms. During this we do not allow guests in the hotel, which are not registered in the room. Noise complaints are subject to a min. $100 fee and police will be notified.
- Minimum Age for staying with us is 19 years, younger guest have to be accompanied by an adult over 19 years who is registered, staying and paying for the room. The Hotel will refuse the reserved room to guests less than 19 years upon check in. No Refunds will be given for the reserved/paid room.
- Kitchenettes Our studios offer a kitchenette. It is the guest’s responsibility to make sure all dishes are cleaned and stored away upon departure. If this is not the case, a fee of a min. of $50.00 will be deducted from the pre-authorization paid, without notice.
- Taxes: GST 5%, Municipal Tax (MRDT) 3%, Room Tax 8%. Taxes are subject to change without notice.
Covid -19 - what to expect at Sun Peaks Lodge
We understand the necessity of prioritizing guest and employee’s safety at this time and our goal is to respect the processes and protocols, while ensuring a warm and casual experience.
Sun Peaks Lodge’s regular cleaning protocols are extremely thorough. In order to protect our employees and guests we follow our Covid-19 safety Protocol, based on our Covid-19 Safety Plan and some services might not be available and/or other restrictions apply. As we are in a pandemic, no compensation will be given for service not provided.
It is essential to protect the health and safety of guests and employees. We have adjusted our protocols during the pandemic, which may include:
Front Desk:
- Reduced hours and reduced contact at check-in and contact less check-out.
- All additional payments like parking will be charge to the credit card upon check in and the invoice will be signed, so upon check out, you only drop the keys.
- Hand sanitizer stations, sanitized key-cards.
- Disinfection of high touch surfaces.
Guest Room:
- Decorative and non-essential items, i.e. throw pillows and blankets might have been removed.
- Enhanced cleaning/disinfection.
- We may not provide Housekeeping service during a guest stay.
Restaurants:
- Disinfection of high touch surfaces, hand sanitizer stations.
- Limited seating may be available. Please make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
