26 Ontario guys on behalf of our leader Bob Grigg

Hello Silvia & Mario:

The “Bob Grigg Group” would like to extend a warm thank you for making our week of January 8th-15th 2011  a wonderful experience.  Not  withstanding the great snow, excellent ski terrain, convenient ski-in-ski-out and good on-the-mountain lunches, your hospitality was excellent.

From the arrival greeting on the bus, taking care of all the luggage and skiis, and the efficient check-in, we could not have asked for more. Your staff is special;  their smiles and service will be with us for some time.  The breakfast and dinner selection was a daily enjoyment to look forward to.  Finally, a big thanks for the after dinner liqueurs.

Silvia and Mario – a special thank you from the 26 Ontario guys on behalf of our leader Bob Grigg!

I have (also) been meaning to write to let you know that friends of mine visited Sun Peaks not too long ago, Debbie and Ron Karras and they had dinner at the Steakhouse one of the nights that they were up over New Years.  Debbie called me when she got home and she raved about the food and value at the Steakhouse.  She said that she had the pleasure of meeting Mario and that you made them feel so welcome and comfortable.  Ron had a steak dinner and said that it was cooked perfectly and so delicious.  It was their first time to Sun Peaks because they always ski Whistler.  They said that they didn’t think that there is a restaurant in Whistler that has the same quality of food for such a great price as they found at your restaurant.  Thank you.

A sincerest thank you for the warm hospitality we received in your hotel and restaurant during our recent visit to Sun Peaks.   The dedication and commitment that you have to your business is apparent in every aspect.  All details are well thought out and make the difference.  We really enjoyed Room 202 overlooking the village – it was comfortable in every respect.

Just spent a night at Sun Peaks Lodge and loved it. The staff was friendly, accomodating and went the extra mile no matter what the request. Everything from the rooms to the spa area is extremely clean and a European flavour is nicely evident everywhere. It’s rare to see a hot tub area so clean as this and it was a real treat. The owners obviously take pride in their business. Room was large, well kept and very comfortable. Hope good reviews don’t prompt them to up their prices because it’s very good value for the money.

Good morning Sun Peaks Lodge,

I just wanted to send out a big thank you to Mario and Silvia and their Front Desk and Steakhouse staff. My boyfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Sun Peaks Lodge and we couldn’t have had a better time. We stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite, which was BEAUTIFUL, and had an amazing Bacon Wrapped Steak Dinner at the Steakhouse. We were so well taken care of, Mario even asked to take my plate to keep it warm while I stepped out to the rest room. I’ve never really seen a hotel manager take so much care in all aspects of the facility. I saw them at the Front Desk one minute, and the next they were helping serve in the Steakhouse. It’s so nice to see the effort and hard work that Mario and Silvia put into their jobs. They really show true pride in what they do for a living.

Thank you again for making a special occasion so much more.

We were up for a car event held during Sept 9-12. The location is right in the heart of the village. The bedroom area and the bathroom were both a good size. Very handy having the small mini fridge in the room for our “liquid refreshments”. The coffee maker was almost the best we had provided in any hotel room. Good coffee and hot. They also provide ceramic mugs and a spoon, which is so much nicer than the paper cup and plastic stir sticks you normally get. They also had wine glasses in the room as well as hiball glasses which was a good idea. I had to call downstairs to have the room safe reset so we could use it, and the hotel owner/manager was up right away to do that for us. The owners of the property are very nice and hands on to help you with any concerns you may have or questions you need answered. King size bed was nice and firm just the way we like it. As this was still the ‘Summer Season” for the hotel, the restaurant was closed so we can’t comment on it. The menu did look good. I would definately stay there again. They have very limited parking both outside and underground, so you do need to confirm with them prior if you wish an underground spot. There is a $10 fee for that. There is free wi-fi in your room, but if you want to use the internet computer downstairs in the lobby area available for guests there is a fee.
